Vampires and humans have their differences, which can lead to lack of common experience, which can lead to misunderstandings, which can lead to awkwardness at parties. But there's one thing they can always chop it up about—late night television.
This is mostly due to the fact that the late-night programming block serves both just-waking-up vampires and just-going-to-bed humans. Late night TV, in its soothingly energetic way, serves both viewerships well.
Of course we're talking about this particular topic today because last night was a monumental night in the history of late-night television broadcasting. Conan O'Brien took over the helm of the 55-year-old Tonight Show, succeeding Jay Leno after his 17-year run as host.
We vampires suspect that the Big Three networks are realizing that the vampire demographic is one to be at least considered, if not catered to (in time, in time). We're happy with the shakeup…some er, new blood in the Tonight Show formula isn't such a bad idea.
